Driver Rehabilitation Specialist, Certified Driver Instructor, Adaptive Mobility Specialist , and Owner of Adapt 2 Independence
We at Adapt 2 Independence have designed our program to help our clients adapt to change using two types of flexibility.
The first is Cognitive Flexibility. This involves preparing our clients to use different thinking strategies, enabling them to incorporate various mental frameworks into their planning, decision-making, and management of practice sessions. Cognitive flexibility involves nimble, divergent thinking, developing new approaches, and the ability to see that independence is achievable. Our experienced A2i team recognizes when old approaches don't work and helps our clients find success in adapting to change.
The second type is Emotional Disposition Flexibility. At A2i, we take the time to adjust our approach to dealing with the emotions of others. We help build our clients' comfort with the transition process, including grieving, complaining, and resistance. Adapting to change requires give, take, and understanding between the Driver Rehabilitation specialist and the client experiencing the change. We operate from a place of optimism grounded in realism and openness. We acknowledge a bad situation but simultaneously visualize a better quality of life.
Our goal is to guide our clients toward practicing behaviors that boost cognitive and emotional disposition, empowering them to adapt to change and achieve independence. If you want to learn more about our program, please call us at 941-999-0324, or send us an email at drive@adapt2i.com
Our aim is to guide clients towards behaviors that enhance their cognitive and emotional well-being through our program, Adapting 2 Independence.
